Tonya Harper NP-C is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She started her nursing career upon graduation from Vincennes University in 1985. She later graduated from Indiana State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). As she was raising her family, she continued her education and graduated with Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Indiana State University in 2007. Tonya has enjoyed all of her nursing experiences with clinical experience as a nurse in medical surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, community health, home care and hospice. Her first 17 years as an NP she specialized in interventional pain management.
Then in 2021 Tonya developed a passionate clinical interest in alternative approaches to wellness. She was frustrated with the fragmented care offered in conventional medicine. In response to this, she completed continuing education in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, medical weight loss, sexual health and wellness, and peptide therapy. She is a true believer in life long learning. She has often said "the day I think I know it all ,I better just stay home".
Tonya has a true desire to better the life of each patient she sees. She takes the time to offer a comprehensive approach including care for the mind, body, and spirit. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys spending time with her family. She loves yoga practice, out door walks, traveling, and learning new things.
